This project revolves around creating a visual system for a hypothetical film festival. The festival is around the work of one selected director. The director chosen was Nobuhiko Obayashi, the pioneering Japanese film director. I chose 5 of his films to showcase for the festival. I also crafted a guiding narrative based on the themes of his films and artistic philosophy. This narrative is meant to inform my design decisions throughout the project. 

 

The fesitval was titled, “Hello I Love You”. In the end I created a brand identity logo, a system of posters, advertisements, tickets, a business system, a website, soundtrack packaging, and

a festival trailer.
